"Galactogogue" by Miranda Field
Miranda Field was born and raised in London, UK. Her first book, SWALLOW, won a Bakeless Prize, and was published by Houghton-Mifflin in 2002. Her work appears in nurmerous journals and several anthologies, including NOT FOR MOTHERS ONLY (Fence Books), and LEGITIMATE DANGERS (Sarabande). She has received a Discovery/The Nation Award and a Pushcart Prize, and currently teaches poetry workshops in the undergraduate writing program at New York University. She divides her time between New York City and the Hudson valley, with poet Tom Thompson and their two sons.
