Born in Northern Illinois, Benjamin received his MFA from Illinois State University in 2005 and his BFA from Millikin University in 2001. He has shown extensively in the Midwest and in various locations nationwide. Recent exhibitions include Apophatic Time at violet poe projects, The Conjured with Dawn Roe at Dog and Pony Projects in Buffalo, Spotlights at Rebekah Templeton Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, and Iowa Artists 2010 at the Des Moines Art Center. He lives and works in Des Moines, Iowa with his partner Amy O’Shaughnessy.
